Transferring Large Digital Files
November 11, 2005
I came across this helpful website and I thought you might be interested.
It all started when I needed to send a very large graphic file to one of my vendors who produce the promotional products for my clients at Proforma GiveAways Plus. The vendor’s email could not handle a file that large. I called a friend in the industry to see what advice he had to help me transfer my customer’s art to the manufacturer for imprinting. My friend is so smart! He told me about You Send It
You Send It allows you to send and receive files up to 1GB in size at no charge to you or whoever you’re sending the file to. Use You Send It to accept any document submissions from your customers, users, and even directly from visitors to your website. Common usages include receiving print, image, and multimedia documents normally too big for email securely and easily.
Using You Send It is really easy. Choose who you want to send a file to. It can be anyone with an email address. You can send photos, audio, documents or anything else. Send entire photo albums with this free service. Your file will be stored by YouSendIt without ever filling up your recipient’s mailbox. You Send It will automatically email your recipient a link to your file stored on our server. Your file will be deleted after 7 days or 25 downloads, whichever occurs first.
I’d love to hear from you if you use this. Let me know how you’re using You Send It.
