Unlock Your Hidden and Rich Potential

April 26, 2008

If you are to succeed or achieve anything in this life you must first understand how your mind works.

It is important, as you seek to unlock your potential, that you realize how powerful your thoughts are.

King Solomon’s Proverb says, “As a Man thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Napoleon Hill said it like this, “Thoughts are things.”

Andrew Carnagie said, “Any idea that is held in the mind, that is either feared or revered, will begin at once to clothe itself in the most convenient and appropriate physical forms available.

Everything in this world is a result of a thought. Every thing, every action, every result - came out of someone’s thoughts. When you begin to think on the enormity of this thought it might make one feel guarded for a moment. To understand that the thought you are thinking at this very moment has the power to profoundly affect the rest of your life and the lives of the people around you.

The world that we live in operates by very predictable laws. The Law of Gravity is an example that you can probably relate to easily. Gravity is a law applied to everyone in the world - with no respect to color or creed, race or religion.

In the same way the laws that govern our thoughts are as sure as gravity. Science tells us that our thoughts are energy. Energy is manifested in varying degrees of vibration. Our thoughts are vibrations that emanate from our beings and affect other humans and the material world.

Since the 1940’s science has used the EEG (electroencephalograph) to read the electrical activity of the brain; and the ECG (electrocardiograph) to trace the electrical changes which occur from heart contractions. These machines demonstrate and reveal that we do indeed vibrate.

Have you ever come into the presence of someone with a negative attitude and made the comment, “That person really gave me the creeps. He or she had bad “vibes”. ” Intuitively we on some level read the vibrations of the people around us. And, we constantly broadcast our own “vibes” to the world, all of nature, matter, and other human beings.

The vibration of our thoughts is either in harmony with the world around us or the vibrations repels the world around us. Vibrations in a similar frequency unite and become stronger - Vibrations that are moving at different frequency will neutralize or cancel each other out.

concurrent vs concentric (saturn wallpaper background)If every thing, every thought, action and result in our life is the result of our thoughts, the understanding of how this is possible by understanding that every thought we think - all day and night - is a vibratory frequency that is broadcasting continuously to the world around us.

It is extremely important that we really understand this Law of Vibration to gain a better awareness of how you can take control over your results. From this understand it takes us to the next law which is the Law of Attraction.

The Law of Attraction operates because of the Law of Vibration. Negative thoughts are a low vibration; and positive thoughts are a high vibration. When you are in a negative state of mind you can only harmonize with other negative vibrations; and when you are in a positive mindset, you can only resonate with positive vibrations. Thus you attract what you present state of mind is vibrating.

To compound the power of this is our memory. In an instant we can recall a story from our past and replay the entire thoughts of a particular situation and put ourselves right back in the very same state of vibration as when the story happened originally.

Your thoughts are the one thing that you CAN control. Yes, you can.

I will post again on this concept of vibration and attraction in relation to the nine environments of You. An exciting revelation will begin to unveil itself as you begin to play “thought police” and watch everything that goes in or comes out of your mouth, mind, and consciousness.

Will you take the key and unlock your hidden and rich potential?

If you’re pretty new to blogging or you have a blog but haven’t done much with it you will learn some great starter tactics. I’ve learned several things - learned something about a Wordpress plugin that I have and a couple of cool things about search engine optimization.
The full on classroom starts Monday, April 29th, 2008. Sign up for it as soon as possible so you don’t miss any of the lessons.
Now, here are links to some of my favorite resources - You’re going to love this information and these tools. Watch out or you will get INFORMATION overload!

Blogging Business Strategy

April 24, 2008

Textblogg 24 april, originally uploaded by moonhouse.

Blogging is really quite a phenomenon. Anybody can be “published” internationally on the Internet with a blog - but that doesn’t guarantee you readers. What is the strategy that successful bloggers use to make money online?

Today on Get More Business Podcast we’ll be discussing a strategy that many Internet Marketers use when developing an income producing blog.

Here’s a list of some of the basic steps to get started:

Research - Before you do anything at all you need to do some research on whether or not people are shopping for what you want to offer. Terry Dean has a great report that is available for only $10 that will describe a method and several sources for researching and choosing slam dunk markets.

Secure a domain name and hosting - The host that I trust for my domain registration and reliable hosting is a company called My Small Business Website. Their prices are reasonable - less than $10 to register a domain and just under $4 a month to host - that’s less than a Mocha Frappechino from Starbucks! Their customer service is friendly and available 24/7. I almost never talk to customer service or tech support - only because I almost never have a problem! The website hosting package includes a free WordPress Blog that can be installed for you - you just need to customize and fill it with content!

Create a 30 Day Plan for creating content and promoting your blog. This is not my idea. I subscribe to Terry Dean’s Monthly Mentor Club. This monthly printed publication is a wealth of information. It’s the best $20 I spend each month.

Following are practices that you will need to do repeatedly to create an income producing blog:

  • Research Long Tail Keywords for your market - this is important to get found on the Internet.
  • Post comments on complimentary blogs and forums
  • Write relevant blog posts - write ahead for the whole week!
  • Turn your blog posts in to Articles and submit to other publishers and bloggers
  • Submit your best posts to Blog Carnivals
  • Write and Submit Press Releases
  • Interview guests to create products and or blog posts
  • Create and upload video

Your success will be in consistency. Don’t abandon Your blog! We’ll talk more about this on the show!

Click to listen to today’s show in talkshoe player or download mp3 - I give TONS of information that you can begin using immediately to create a blogging business strategy.

For a more structured training I recommend that you participate in Anik Singal and Rosalind Gardner’s Blog Classroom. Read here for more resources.

The Perfect Work Environment

April 22, 2008

Trivial pursuits, originally uploaded by Gaetan Lee.

We are happiest when we have harmony in all the environtments that make up our life. What often happens is that we think we can live with separation and disunity in our environments. The truth is that we open unseen doors of opportunity as we eliminate tolerances and bring harmonious energy between our the nine environments that make up our world.

The Nine Environments of “You”

The Memetic Environment: Your memetic environment is at the very core of who you are as an individual. It includes ideas, thoughts, beliefs, paradigms, styles and usages that are passed down from parents, grandparents and generations gone before. Your memetic environment also includes access to information and knowledge (books, websites, magazines, television, and radio.)

Inner game coaching focuses almost entirely on the memetic environment and some on the environment of self.

The Body Environment: Your body environment includes your body, hair, skin, nails, posture, health and energy. It also includes you observer your own body, how you use the body as a compass and how our bodies affect the environment and the energy around us.) Your body environment touches the network environment, as it includes physicians, skin care consultants, massage therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, personal trainers and other professionals who support your physical body well being.

The Self Environment: Your self environment includes our strengths, talents, personalities, feelings, emotions, values, passions, skills and unique assets. Your self environment includes the intangible aspects of our beings.

The Nature Environment: Your nature environment includes nature, parks, bodies of water, the seasons of the year, pets, plants, the seasons of life, and the outdoors, in general. As humans, You are a part of nature, so access to this environment is crucial for our survival and ultimate well being.

The Spiritual Environment: Your spiritual environment includes your connection to God or the Divine. Your spiritual environment also indcludes your inner spirit, your creativity and joy, your invisible connection you feel to others and the universe. It includes methods of connecting to spiritual aspects of life (such as meditation, prayer, and places of worship).

The Relationship Environment: Your relationship environment includes those people in your life who are closest to you and with whom you have an intimate connection…your “inner circle.” This includes your family, close friends, close colleagues, mentors and neighbors who are in your life on a daily basis.

The Network Environment: Your network environment is an extension of the relationship environment. It includes people with whom you are on a first name basis, yet you may not have a deep an intimate connection. The network environment includes your strategic partners, networking partners, community organizations, and members of any mastermind or support groups you belong to. The goal of the network environment is usually to provide an exchange of information and to build bridges to people who can support you in enhancing both your business and personal life. Business Network International and The Chamber of Commerce are part of the network environment.

The Financial Environment: Your financial environment includes money, investments, insurance, stocks and bonds and the people who support your financial well being (accountants, financial planners, stock brokers). This environment also includes any tools or support services you use to achieve your financial goals (Quickbooks, Quicken, Microsoft Money, budgets, banking institutions). When exploring the financial environment, it is also important to look closely at the relationship you have with money and their beliefs around money and prosperity/abundance.

The Physical Environment: Your physical environment includes the very tangible aspects of your lives…your home, office, car, furnishings, artwork, toys, boats, and accessories. Your physical environment provides visual clues to what is going on in our lives. Clutter, noise, broken equipment can be visual clues to looking deeper to discover our thoughts, energy and behaviors.)

As the above descriptions may make clear, anything can be seen as an environment. For example, people, technological systems, the television, office space, R&D teams, pets, special interest groups, etc.

By viewing everything as an environment, you can choose not tolerate things that don’t sustain you. It forces you to look at things differently and de-personalizes it. You need to begin to recognize things around you as either sustainable environments or not. Looking at each of your life environments brings a heightened clarity and sense of direction. Every game (goal, dream, or life direction) has an environment to support it. If you can’t come up with one, you might want to question the validity of that game. (material on Environmental Design developed by Josh Hornick).

Next I will describe how your enviroment defines you, reflects you, can propel you, or hold you back. In my next post we’ll discover how to perform a clean sweep of your environment and open unseen doors of opportunity, possibility and cash flow!

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

April 21, 2008

Deep inside a morning glory, originally uploaded by tanakawho.

Do flowers apologize for their simple but dazzeling beauty? No they just are what they were created to be - beautiful. Why do we struggle with being brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? No, really, I have met some amazingly talented individuals who on some level feel uncomfortable with their talent.

It’s an important discovery to understand what one’s talent, gift, reason for being here… Yet most people don’t yet understand the tiny shift in thought from “What’s my gift?” to “What’s my part in the grand scheme of life?”

So, it is not “What IF I am glorious?” as if we would take from a limited reserve of “glory.” Rather it should be “What IF I am glorious?” and we consider the impact our glory will have on the greatness of another.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson

One of the amazingly liberating things that happens when we create an environment of integrity in all areas is that we actually create freedom not only for ourselves but others are liberated by our wholeness.

Coach on a Mission - I want to Coach 100 people in 100 days - No Charge to You!

Wow! I am loving my life after my career change! You might remember that I was previously a promotional products distributor - until early last year when I decided it was time to finally do what I love. It is and has been a beautiful thing to put my energy into coaching. My coaching practice is still growing and I’m inviting you to join me in this exciting adventure.

This week I learned of a Coach who works with the University of North Carolina Alumni who opened up to UNC Alumni - a group of 70,000 - a complimentary coaching session. Coach Linda Conklin was astounded at the response. Coach Linda has provided 220 complimentary coaching sessions in just 51 days! (http://www.coachblog.com/?p=90).

Coach Linda shared that the experience was not only revealing to her as a coach, but to her clients who were not aware that the university offered coaching to the alumni, nor were they aware of exactly what coaching offered.

This sparked an idea for me. I would like to offer you or your organization a complimentary coaching session. If you are an employer or manager, I am offering individual coaching sessions with each of your employees. This would be a 50 minute session where we discuss whatever is most important to you. This is your chance to be heard - to have a sounding board. The session is completely f.r.e.e. and is absolutely confidential.

You can schedule you own appointment using my online calendar. The coaching sessions are done on the phone. Arrangements can be made for onsite appointments upon request.

Who should take advantage of this complimentary coaching session?

  • If you’re thinking about making a job or career change
  • If you’ve already made a job or career change
  • If you want to enhance you current job or career
  • Employers who want to connect with employees for improving retention or work environment
  • Entrepreneurs or Self Employed needing to strategize, grow, stabilize or exit business
  • Improve Relationships with co-workers, employees, boss, family, spouse, friends
  • Parent(s) with concerns
  • Improve Customer Service
  • Discover Customer Needs
  • Many organizations offer training -  Training inspires and motivates, but the real change is rarely more than minor and temporary. Coaching takes training to the next level by setting incremental goals for the trainee to move towards mastery.

What does a Coach provide?

  • A Coach helps to define a “winnable” game - “what would this look like if you were winning?”
  • A Coach acts as a sounding board helping you discover and define your game plan that leads to a winnable game. Working with a Coach will help you take a large project and break it down in to smaller, manageable and actionable steps. A Coach will see things you might not and become that creative sounding board, asking you the questions that you might not ask yourself.
  • A Coach helps to keep you focused
  • A Coach will champion your “Win” and not allow you to crash and burn with “learning experiences”  Coaching expands ones thinking. What have you been conditioned to expect? Could you be expecting or delivering more, bigger, and better? A Coach is trained to champion your greatness and expand your success. Coaching accelerates an individuals personal evolution.
  • A Coach helps the client to understand that we should not suffer trying to change the world to meet our thoughts
  • A Coach helps to provide a new fresh perspective that may release new energy and productivity
  • A Coach helps you eliminate tolerances from your environment. Imagine walking around with a rock in your shoe, for a while it’s annoying but if you tolerate the rock in your shoe for very long it can make you downright miserable. Many people live their whole lives tolerating many things that make them unhappy. Toleration can become an energy drain leaving you with fewer mental, emotional and creative resources to face your day. A good coach will help you identify and remove tolerances and release new power and energy into you life.

What does Melody have to offer?

I have been an entrepreneur all of my adult working life. I have worked alone as well as managed employees. Some of my most recent adventures have included both marriage and divorce, parenting teenagers and caring for a dying parent. I have trained with Bob Proctor (from The Secret) and Paul Martinelli, as well as Coachville (the largest International Coach Training School). All of these experiences and education have shaped me and my work. In growing as a person through these life cycles I was keenly aware that I have the opportunity to posture myself and define my own success. These rich experiences have made me even more aware that one cannot separate one’s personal life from earning a living. Without a doubt the personal life either hinders or enriches our work. My clients and I discover how to bring harmony into their life with a whole life perspective.

Employees find themselves more successful as they serve their employer; and employers gain new appreciation for the employee as a whole person not just who they are at work. The entrepreneur finds that living harmoniously as a whole person gives new energy to their passion for work.

My clients and I learn to experience life as “serious play” rather than “resented and tolerated work.” The whole life approach allows for a peace that does not emerge when life is compartmentalized.

If any of this resonates with you, You are invited to join me in a complimentary coaching session to explore the possibility of a Whole Life.  You can schedule you own appointment using my online calendar.

What’s New with The Small Business Guru

April 5, 2008

I’ve been having the most fun in the last two weeks!

Just two weeks ago I started a volunteer project with Coach Dave Buck over at Coachville.com. Well, it actually started a few months ago. I signed up to become a volunteer with the Coachville Member Services Team in exchange for access to their Graduate Program. It took a couple of weeks but they found a spot for me!

Coachville Caffeine Internet Radio ShowI am working with Coach Dave Buck as the production manager for the new Coachville Caffeine Internet Radio Show. Wow - what a perfect fit! I am having a wonderful time co-ordinating all the guests for the daily 30 minute show. I consider my self a “connector.” I love to connect with people, and connect people with other people. So this is a dream position for me. I have the opportunity to meet with many of the leaders in Coaching practice today.

In addition to scheduling the guests I’ve been writing the daily blog post at Coach Blog for each show announcing the topics and guests.

And, as to the continuing education at Coachville that I have access to as a volunteer, I feel as if I’ve been given a golden key to a wonderful library of information. It’s a 24/7 connection a treasure of knowledge!

The founder of Coachville, the late Thomas J. Leonard, and current CEO Coach Dave Buck have defined and raised the standard for coaching with the education provided through their Internet Educational Resources. In addition there are a team of dedicated coaches that are responsible for the Intellectual property entrusted to them.

There is a profound need for coaching in our time - Coach Dave and his team of master coaches are creating a strong community of professionals educated and trained to respond to this need.

And, I am having a blast being a part of it all!
