Trivial pursuits, originally uploaded by Gaetan Lee.
We are happiest when we have harmony in all the environtments that make up our life. What often happens is that we think we can live with separation and disunity in our environments. The truth is that we open unseen doors of opportunity as we eliminate tolerances and bring harmonious energy between our the nine environments that make up our world.
The Nine Environments of “You”
The Memetic Environment: Your memetic environment is at the very core of who you are as an individual. It includes ideas, thoughts, beliefs, paradigms, styles and usages that are passed down from parents, grandparents and generations gone before. Your memetic environment also includes access to information and knowledge (books, websites, magazines, television, and radio.)
Inner game coaching focuses almost entirely on the memetic environment and some on the environment of self.
The Body Environment: Your body environment includes your body, hair, skin, nails, posture, health and energy. It also includes you observer your own body, how you use the body as a compass and how our bodies affect the environment and the energy around us.) Your body environment touches the network environment, as it includes physicians, skin care consultants, massage therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, personal trainers and other professionals who support your physical body well being.
The Self Environment: Your self environment includes our strengths, talents, personalities, feelings, emotions, values, passions, skills and unique assets. Your self environment includes the intangible aspects of our beings.
The Nature Environment: Your nature environment includes nature, parks, bodies of water, the seasons of the year, pets, plants, the seasons of life, and the outdoors, in general. As humans, You are a part of nature, so access to this environment is crucial for our survival and ultimate well being.
The Spiritual Environment: Your spiritual environment includes your connection to God or the Divine. Your spiritual environment also indcludes your inner spirit, your creativity and joy, your invisible connection you feel to others and the universe. It includes methods of connecting to spiritual aspects of life (such as meditation, prayer, and places of worship).
The Relationship Environment: Your relationship environment includes those people in your life who are closest to you and with whom you have an intimate connection…your “inner circle.” This includes your family, close friends, close colleagues, mentors and neighbors who are in your life on a daily basis.
The Network Environment: Your network environment is an extension of the relationship environment. It includes people with whom you are on a first name basis, yet you may not have a deep an intimate connection. The network environment includes your strategic partners, networking partners, community organizations, and members of any mastermind or support groups you belong to. The goal of the network environment is usually to provide an exchange of information and to build bridges to people who can support you in enhancing both your business and personal life. Business Network International and The Chamber of Commerce are part of the network environment.
The Financial Environment: Your financial environment includes money, investments, insurance, stocks and bonds and the people who support your financial well being (accountants, financial planners, stock brokers). This environment also includes any tools or support services you use to achieve your financial goals (Quickbooks, Quicken, Microsoft Money, budgets, banking institutions). When exploring the financial environment, it is also important to look closely at the relationship you have with money and their beliefs around money and prosperity/abundance.
The Physical Environment: Your physical environment includes the very tangible aspects of your lives…your home, office, car, furnishings, artwork, toys, boats, and accessories. Your physical environment provides visual clues to what is going on in our lives. Clutter, noise, broken equipment can be visual clues to looking deeper to discover our thoughts, energy and behaviors.)
As the above descriptions may make clear, anything can be seen as an environment. For example, people, technological systems, the television, office space, R&D teams, pets, special interest groups, etc.
By viewing everything as an environment, you can choose not tolerate things that don’t sustain you. It forces you to look at things differently and de-personalizes it. You need to begin to recognize things around you as either sustainable environments or not. Looking at each of your life environments brings a heightened clarity and sense of direction. Every game (goal, dream, or life direction) has an environment to support it. If you can’t come up with one, you might want to question the validity of that game. (material on Environmental Design developed by Josh Hornick).
Next I will describe how your enviroment defines you, reflects you, can propel you, or hold you back. In my next post we’ll discover how to perform a clean sweep of your environment and open unseen doors of opportunity, possibility and cash flow!

More on the 30 days to Success -
Make 25 sales calls every day to solicit new business. Professional speaker Mike Ferry did this five days a week for two years, even on days when he was giving seminars. He credits this habit with helping build his business to over $10 million in annual sales. If you make 1300 sales calls a year, you’re going to get some decent business no matter how bad your sales skills are. You can generalize this habit to any kind of marketing work, like building new links to your web site.
I’m sure you must have read this on Steve Pavlina’s blog the above quote in the 30 day post. Now this just excites me because I know how powerful this new habit is. If you get on the phone and talk to previous or new clients every day you will be so amazed at how quickly the business will build and come in. I’ve done this before and WOW it works!
I challenge you to try it and tell me what happens to your business.
