FAQ sections used to be an afterthought. In AI search, they are one of your most valuable content formats — because a question paired with a direct answer is exactly the shape of content AI systems are built to find, extract, and reuse.
People ask AI tools full questions: “How much does it cost to clean a roof in Salem?” “How long does a Brazilian wax take?” When your website contains that question and a clear answer, you have created a direct match. You are answering the customer’s question in the customer’s words before a competitor does.
FAQ schema is a small piece of structured code that labels your questions and answers so machines cannot misread them. If you use WordPress with an SEO plugin like Rank Math, you can add FAQ schema without touching code. It will not guarantee placement anywhere, but it removes every excuse a machine has for misunderstanding your content.
Three to eight well-chosen questions per page is a healthy range. Quality and relevance beat volume.
On the service page they relate to, near the bottom. A page’s FAQs should belong to that page’s topic.
Avoid it. Each page’s FAQs should be specific to that service. Duplicated blocks dilute the clarity you are trying to create.
